Although ANYONE may view most of this sites content (there are some exceptions), ONLY registered members of this site are allowed to Post content such as News, Forums, Blogs, Classifieds, and photos.  Creating postings within this site is very EASY thanks to our inline what you see is what you get editing system. This site is about as EASY as it gets anywhere on the Web today for allowing you the creative freedom you need to express yourself and even do a great service for your community and yourself at the same time

There is a new Non Profit here in Flagler Estates called the FECC. The Flagler Estates Concerned Citizens mission statement seems to indicate they are a group of concerned citizens here in FE about rising taxes and such which seem to have no accountability by the County or the FERWCD to keep things under control. They also indicate a desire to allow area residents to help each other via a list of area residents Talent Pools, Abilities, Specialties and resources other area residents may call upon as the demand arises.

FECN News gives the FECC Kudos for this part of their mission goals. We will have to watch and see how things pan out of course and will certainly keep you all posted right here at FECN News.

Our FERWCD fees as some of you know went up 63% this year. That is totally out of line in todays economy. This increase will become standard over the next 20 years IF we do not take action... Review, Print out, and sign the FECC petition if you are a land owner here in Flagler Estates and wish to STOP wanton run away spending.

I am writing to you to make you aware that the Flagler Estates Road & Water Control District has called a special meeting on Monday 9/8/08 at 4:30pm at the district office on light ave, to revisit the FERDAP grant decision. 

We need as many residents as we can get in attendance for this meeting.  We need to let the Board of Supervisors know that our community needs this park expansion.  By expanding our park we can do many things, what about a Flagler Estates Little league team? The opportunities are endless.  And what an investment.....for our community.  I see this as an investment for our community and an investment for our KIDS!  Our children of Flagler Estates.......... what better investment can we make?  The Future of Flagler Estates is at stake here! 

I would also like to ask each of you to please let me know if I can give your e-mail address to the Flagler Estates Road & Water District office, so that they can create a mass e-mail list and communicate to you via e-mail with important information such as this.
