Since Flagler Estates encompasses South West St. Johns County, as well as a small part of North West Flagler County, (a two county sub division of Hastings, Florida actually), we feel the following information will serve you well in the event of some very foul weather coming our way.

The following shelters are designated as official hurricane shelter locations by the Department of Emergency Management. You should try to evacuate to the home of a friend or family member outside of the Evacuation Area. A shelter should be your refuge of last resort if you have absolutely nowhere else to go !

Not every site will open for every evacuation, so please monitor the local radio and or T.V. stations, or contact the Department of Emergency Management at: 904-824-5550 to find out which Shelters are open when an evacuation order is given.
