On July 8, 1969 they sold it to World Wide Development Company of Florida Corp. World Wide cleared the land with the intention of farming. |

| Pastor John Regan came to Flagler Estates ready to get dirty and make changes. "Get out of the pews," Regan said. "They're called pews because they stink." Regan opened his non-denominational Church in the Pines on Flagler Estates Boulevard about six months ago. Since then, he has worked to clean up the community and help those in need. On Saturday afternoon, he and four others built a wheelchair ramp for a retired couple on Calvin Street. Three groups came together for the project: Church in the Pines, Flagler Estates Community Redevelopment Association and the St. Johns Housing Partnership. |
